“…my parents make too much money, so I don’t qualify for financial aid!”
Actually…there is no income cut-off to qualify for federal student aid. Many factors besides income such as the size of your family are taken into account. Your eligibility is determined by a formula, not just your or your parents’ income alone. Plus, when you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you’re also automatically applying for funds from the state, and possibly from the school as well. Most schools won’t even consider you for discount programs or scholarships until you’ve submitted a FAFSA. It’s always good to complete the application to see what you’re eligible for!
